What is your cancellation policy?
We completely understand that plans can change, and we’re happy to offer flexibility whenever possible.
• Flagship Tasting Reservations may be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund.
• These thoughtfully curated experiences require extensive preparation. As such, we ask for at least a 72 hour notice to receive a full refund for The Vault and Higher Place Tasting Experiences. Cancellations made with 48 hours’ notice will receive a 50% refund.
• Same-day cancellations and no-shows will be charged in full.
• Club members — same-day cancellations and no-shows will be charged in full to the credit card on file.

We kindly ask for notice prior to your scheduled reservation time for any changes. Same-day rescheduling will be subject to availability.
Do you allow shared tastings?
We’re happy to offer the option to share a tasting! To ensure the best experience for everyone, we kindly ask that you limit shared tastings to two guests per tasting.
When booking, simply select the number of tastings you would like. When booking your reservation, lease make a note in the optional comment box during checkout OR email us once you have completed your reservaiton to let us know how many guests will be in your party and how many tastings will be shared. This helps us prepare your table and ensure everything is just right for your arrival.
Are you dog friendly?
Well-behaved dogs are welcome to join you on your visit—just limit to two per group, please. We kindly ask that pups remain leashed and close by, out of respect for other guests (and our sheep and chickens!). Please let us know if your four-legged friend will be joining by noting it in the optional comment box during checkout. Please note: We have several friendly cellar pups that often greet guests in the parking lot or pop in to say hello.
Can I bring outside food?
To fully immerse yourself in the tasting experience and allow the wines to speak for themselves, we kindly ask that food not be consumed during your tasting.
If you’d like to enjoy a picnic, we invite you to reserve one of our picnic tables for after your visit. Tables are available by reservation between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM and are reserved for one hour. A tasting reservation is required to book a picnic table.

Can I bring my kids?
Yes, children are welcome to join you. However, please note that the MAHA Estate and Villa Creek Cellars is an adult-focused environment and an active working farm and winery.
To ensure everyone’s safety—and to preserve a peaceful, enjoyable atmosphere for all guests—we kindly ask that children remain under adult supervision at all times, stay seated, and be quietly entertained throughout your visit.
As we are located in a rural setting, it’s important to be mindful of our surroundings. The property is home to native wildlife, including rattlesnakes and other critters, so we ask that children not wander or play beyond designated areas.
Children should be included in your party count, though no purchased tasting is needed for them. Please let us know if kiddos will be part of your group by noting it in the optional comment box during checkout OR, once your reservation is confirmed, email us. If we know kids will be part of the group, we can ensure your seating is properly arranged.
What if I'm running late? Will I still be able to taste?
We completely understand that sometimes things don't go as planned! If you find yourself running behind, please give us a call at 805.712.8038 — we’ll do our best to adjust where we can. Most tasting rooms are happy to call ahead for you.
Please note that a late arrival may require us to reschedule your appointment, especially for our final seating of the day (3:00 PM, Thursday–Sunday), when flexibility is more limited. Same-day rescheduling will be based on availability.
Why do you use pre-paid reservations instead of regular reservations?
At the MAHA Estate and Villa Creek Cellars, we strive to create an intimate, personalized experience for every guest.
Pre-paid reservations allow us to thoughtfully prepare for your visit — ensuring we know exactly who will be joining us and when — so we can offer you a seamless, one-on-one experience at the best value possible.
Can I get a refund once purchased?
For our flagship tasting experience, we’re happy to waive one tasting fee for every three bottles purchased during your visit — a little thank you for taking our wines home with you!
Because these experiences are crafted with such care and intention, tasting fees for The Vault and Higher Place Tasting Experiences are not waived with wine purchases. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and look forward to sharing these memorable moments with you.
Can I reschedule my reservation for a different day?
If your schedule changes, no problem — you’re welcome to reschedule your reservation to a different time or day that better fits your plans.
If you find you’re unable to make it on the day of your reservation, we offer a one-time courtesy rescheduling to a future date.
Please note: if the rescheduled reservation is later cancelled, it will not be refunded.
How long does a tasting at Villa Creek Cellars last?
Our Flagship and Vault tasting experiences typically takes about 45 minutes to one hour, including checkout. If you have reserved our Higher Place Experience, we recommend you allot a minimum of an hour and a half to two hours for this experience.
To help you enjoy a relaxed, seamless day, we highly recommend mapping out your itinerary in advance, keeping travel times between appointments in mind. We suggest allotting an hour and a half to two hours between reservation start times (or factoring in a half hour of drive time) to ensure you have plenty of time to savor each experience without feeling rushed.
I have a party larger than 6. What is your policy for bigger groups?
We’d love to host your larger party! We are best equipped to accommodate groups of more than six guests between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
If you would like to bring a larger party, please do not book multiple reservations across different times. Rather, just email us — we’ll be happy to assist in planning your visit!
Event tickets
For special events, all sales are final and tickets are non-refundable.
We completely understand that sometimes plans change. If you’re unable to attend, you’re welcome to transfer your tickets to a friend. If you do so, please just let us know who will be joining us in your place — we’d love to greet them properly!
